Hello everyone,
The Federal Union of Scientists & Engineers (FUSE / NAGE Local R1-144) cordially invites all employees represented by FUSE to attend a Union meeting with Senator Jack Reed on Friday, August 29th, at Green Valley Country Club, 371 Union St., Portsmouth, RI, beginning at 6:00 pm.
Senator Reed will discuss the issues currently facing federal employees and unions, including the elimination of collective bargaining rights and protections provided by the union’s negotiated agreements under the Trump executive orders.
All NUWC Newport employees represented by FUSE are welcome to attend and discuss the issues affecting your working conditions, rights, entitlements, and benefits.
A buffet will be served (FREE for FUSE dues-paying members, $45 for non-members) beginning at 7 pm.
All attendees must reply to this email no later than Friday, Aug. 22nd, and indicate whether or not you will attend the buffet after the meeting. Only those who respond by Aug. 22nd will be able to attend. We hope to see you there, thank you for your time.
