About FUSE

The Federal Union of Scientists & Engineers (FUSE) represents over 2,000 non-supervisory, professional, civilian Navy (federal government) employees at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport, RI, including scientists, engineers, mathematicians, physicists, and others. 

FUSE is Local R1-144 of NAGE - the National Association of Government Employees.  NAGE’s headquarters are in Quincy, Massachusetts, with offices and locals across the country.

NAGE is Local 5000 of SEIU - the Service Employees International Union, which has 1.8 million members.
